‘Magadheera’ touches 1 year

Taken from

SS Rajamouli’s ‘Magadheera’ completed one year of running in Andhra Pradesh. The movie released on July 31st 2009.

The movie about rebirth, about battles and true love, ‘Magadheera’ stole the hearts of the audiences. Ram Charan Teja’s character, a warrior who could kill at least a 100 people single handedly was amazingly sketched by director Rajamouli. Not just that, the grand sets, the spectacular special effects and terrific horse riding sequences, made the movie connect to the fans.

The movie is still showing at Kurnool’s Lakshmi Theatre, where the theatre authorities state that the movie has been seeing consistent collections till date. Producer Allu Arvind was extremely pleased with the 1 year showing of the movie while director Rajamouli said it was confidence boosting for him and his team.

Malavika to become mom again

Taken from

Even as reports doing rounds that Malavika is set to start her second innings in acting, reliable sources say the actress will not don the greasepaint at least in the near future thanks to a valid reason.

“Malavika, who is already the mother of a boy child, is pregnant again. She is expecting delivery in a few months. As a result, she has politely refused some offers from the film industry recently,” sources said.

Saying that Malavika might come back to acting after giving birth to the second child, they however maintained that it would take some time. “Because she wants to take good care of her kids on her own.”

Meanwhile, the actress has tattooed the name of her son Aarav on her hand. With the first letter ‘Aa’ in Devanagiri script and the remaining in English, she is proudly showing her hand to her friends these days. Magic of motherhood, one can say.

The name is Rajinikanth

Taken from

You can find a Rajini fan even in Mars, they say. At a time when the Superstar is getting ready for the music launch of his forthcoming ‘Yanthram’, which is scheduled in Malaysia tomorrow, Bollywood actors have been showering praises on him.

Kunal Kapoor, who has repeatedly said in interviews that he is a big fan of Rajini, is going gaga over a punch dialogue of the ‘Thalaivar’ doing rounds in the web. “Love the dialogue, Go Rajini sir go,” he tweeted.

Reacting to the dialogue, Bollywood bombshell Mallika Sherawat tweeted, “If only Hollywood had a Rajini!” Needless to say, this clearly shows the reach of the Tamil superstar across the country.

Meanwhile, Sun Network chairman Kalanithi Maran, who usually stays away from events related to his Sun Pictures’ production ventures, has left for Malaysia to take part in ‘Yanthram’ music launch.

Taken from

Young Rebel Star Prabhas’ ‘Darling’ has crossed the 100 days mark in 15 centres.

Produced by BVSN Prasad who made ‘Chatrapathi’ with Prabhas earlier, ‘Darling’ is directed by Karunakaran. Besides the chirpy screenplay, music by GV Prakash has also worked positively for the movie.

‘Darling’ is a youthful subject with good dose of comedy and other cinema elements. The movie also had Tamil actor Prabhu doing Prabhas’ father role. The movie was shot in exotic locations like Switzerland, Thailand, etc apart from shooting in beautiful location of Araku.

‘Darling’ was released in April 23rd and was welcomed by the audience in a grand way. With this movie, Kajal Agarwal, the heroine of the movie has seen a lot of super hits in her career already. Her ‘Chandamama’ by Krishna Vamsi and ‘Magadheera’ by Rajamouli also crossed 100 days!

A R Rahman’s daughter sings song in ‘Yanthram’

Taken from

The older daughter of music magician AR Rahman, Khatija Rahman is singing a song in Rajinikanth’s forthcoming blockbuster ‘Yanthram’.

Khatija will be singing alongside SP Balasubramaniam in the introduction song of Rajinikanth in the movie. In more than 90% of Rajinikanth’s movies, SPB has sung the introduction songs that have been chart busters. So Khatija’s first song will undoubtedly be a super hit song.

Earlier AR Rahman’s son, Ameen had sung a song in Hollywood movie ‘Couples Retreat’. The children of the Mozart of Madras, seem to continue the legacy of their great father!

Nikhil under Suresh Productions

Taken from

‘Happy Days’ Nikhil’s happy days are continuing long and strong. The young actor has got an opportunity to work under the prestigious Suresh Productions banner.

Yes, Movie Moghul Ramanaidu’s Suresh Productions is producing a new movie with Nikhil and beautiful heroine Madhurima in the direction of Chandra Mahesh. Chandra Mahesh had directed movies like ‘Preyasi Raave’ starring Srikanth and ‘Hanumanthu’ with Sri Hari before.

The new project will start shooting on August 16th in a single schedule that means the movie will complete soon. Other information about technicians and members of the cast will be informed soon.

It is the era of the new generation. Nikhil will be extremely happy and confident as he has started getting offers from prestigious banners.

‘Bomarillu’ Bhaskar Next with Vikram

Taken from

Director Bhaskar’s next project after his ‘Orange’ with Ram Charan, will be a bilingual movie with Vikram in the lead.

The new project will be produced by BVSN Prasad Sri Venkateswara Cine Chitra India Pvt. Ltd. BVSN Prasad has produced many movies before like ‘Chatrapathi’, ‘Katarnak’, ‘Darling’, etc. Vikram has been seeing a decent following right from his ‘Sivaputrudu’ days. His ‘Aparchithudu’ was a blockbuster and people have accepted him as a saleable hero after that.

Besides dubbing for his own in ‘Villain’, Vikram would have wished to act in a straight Telugu movie. Discussion about a straight Telugu movie has been happening for a long time now and Bhaskar has grabbed the opportunity to direct Vikram. The movie will mostly be made in Tamil simultaneously.

Other language actors making it in Telugu cinema is not new. Telugu audiences have welcomed biggies like Rajinikanth, Kamal Haasan till a younger star like Suriya. Suriya will be seen in Ramgopal Varma’s ‘Raktha Charithra’.

Perhaps that’s why it is called ‘Love Thy Neighbour’! Neighbours working together…

‘Brindaavanam’ Music Launch Next Week

Taken from

The music of Junior NTR’s ‘Brindaavanam’ will take place in the first week of August, according to sources.

Directed by Vamsi Paidpalli who made ‘Munna’ with Prabhas before, ‘Brindaavanam’ is a different kind of love story. The music for the movie is given Thaman of ‘Kick’ fame. Thaman had already got a great feedback for his work in ‘Kick’ and he would want to keep it consistent with his forthcoming albums. Aditya Music is bringing ‘Brindavanam’ music to the market.

Kajal Agarwal and the pretty Samantha give NTR company in ‘Brindaavanam’ which is in its final stages of shooting but according to a few even the post-production has started.

Three Movies Releasing Tomorrow

Taken from

Telugu cinema’s consistent release record seems to continue. This Friday 29th July will see release of three movies. Interestingly all the three movies belong to different genres. Join IndiaGlitz in finding out what the movies are and what they have to offer!

The first movie that we’ll start with or should we say the first genre, is drama! And who else fits the ‘drama’ bill right than Dr.Rajasekhar. Dr. Rajasekhar’s ‘Maa Annaya Bangaram’ with Kamalini Mukherjee is about a story of a doting brother. It is about the priorities of a brother after marriage. Dr.Rajasekhar is donning the brother’s role soon after his ‘Gorintaku’ that had Meera Jasmine as his sister. In ‘Maa Annaya Bangaram’, it is a story of 7 brothers, it is learnt. Let’s see if the movie sees ‘Bangaram’ in the box office!

Next in line, is the fantasy comedy entertainer ‘Brahmalokam to Yamalokam Via Bhoolokam’, probably the expected movie among the three releases this week. It is a comedy movie with a fantasy story line of a human’s life span from the creator Bramha’s abode to Yama’s dungeon, through Earth. The movie is made by Srinivas Reddy who’s made movies like ‘Tata Birla Madhyalo Laila’, ‘Yamagola Malli Modalindi’, etc. before, so you can expect to have a hearty laugh when you see this movie!

The third movie that is releasing tomorrow is ‘Kothimooka’ directed by comedian AVS and has Krishnudu as the hero. Krishnudu’s heroine is Shraddha Arya. AVS is coming back as a director after a long time and none of his previous outings have been successful. He would hope to break the jinx this time with Krishnudu who has been a hit streak after his ‘Vinayakudu’ series.

Catch all the three movies only in theatres. These three movies have little time to prove their mettle at the box office as movies of starts are lined up. Ravi Teja’s ‘Don Seenu’ and Pawan Kalyan’s ‘Puli’ will fight for the screens if any of the smaller movies don’t quite impress the audience!

Creative Director Krishna Vamsi’s birthday today!

Taken from

One director’s movie that everyone would dare not want to miss! Krishna Vamsi! The creative director celebrates his birthday today, 28th July!

Creativity with story, creativity in handling or creativity in presenting a movie to the audience, Krishna Vamsi has always been an exception. Right from a camera angle till the usage of set property, Krishna Vamsi has enthralled everybody and that’s why he’s a favourite director of many.

Chase sequences, running in the by lanes and many other intense scenes, Krishna Vamsi’s movies have never failed to make us sit at the edge of the seats. Not just those, action scenes in his movies are always thrilling. To be noted, the violence in his movies is aesthetically made though the gory is what impresses all sections of the audience.

Action is alone not served! Krishna Vamsi is a classy entertainer. His movies are filled with comic elements that are sure to make you laugh and get back your money, paisa vasool we mean! And most importantly, songs! Krishna Vamsi’s movies have good songs to boast about with a mixture of family, romantic as well as party songs!

The director is gearing up to start his next project soon! You can be assured all those ingredients are going to be to entertain you and fill your movie palate! Relish it, because it is a movie from Krishna Vamsi, the creative director who has set high standards in film making!

Rain plays spoilsport with Tollywood

Taken from

Incessant rain in Hyderabad has played spoilsport by disturbing the film shooting in various parts of Hyderabad.

Currently at least five movies are being shot in Hyderabad including Sumanth’s new movie for Kumar Brothers, Siddarth’s ‘180’ and Ravi Teja’s ‘Don Seenu’.

Most of the movies are shooting outdoors and had to stop shooting intermittently. ‘Don Seenu’ is scheduled to release in the first week of August and hence will mostly work overtime to compensate the loss of man hours.

And probably a bad start for the ‘180’ team that started shooting only recently. Facing rains wouldn’t have been in their agenda but they would have allotted a few days for such incidents.

Let us hope the rain gods show mercy on the filmy world yet satisfy the water needs of the people of Andhra Pradesh!

After 'Shakthi', 'Badrinath' @ Manali

Taken from

Manali seems to be the place to beckon Telugu cinema! Besides Junior NTR’s ‘Shakthi’ being shot at Manali, Allu Arjun’s ‘Badrinath’ has started shooting in Manali.

‘Badrinath’ directed by VV Vinayak is produced by Allu Arvind’s Geetha Arts. Cast including Allu Arjun, Prakash Raj and few others along with the crew have started shooting in Manali. Tamannah is Allu Arjun’s heroine in this movie. A few action scenes will also be shot, it is learnt.

Talking about action, Allu Arjun will flaunt his martial art skills that he learnt in Vietnam under the guidance of ace stunt director Peter Heines. Story writer in demand, Chinni Krishna has written the script for ‘Badrinath’ that will continue its shooting in Manali for sometime. A costly set of a house has been erected in Manali exclusively for the movie!

VV Vinayak and Arjun return together after their ‘Bunny’. Will they create a movie better than their previous flick? Hold on…

Injured NTR recovers Fast

Taken from

Junior NTR met with a minor accident while shooting for his ‘Shakthi’ directed by Meher Ramesh, in Manali. Nothing to worry, NTR recovered fast from his injury.

According to sources, whilst shooting for a scene on a slope of a hill three days ago, NTR had apparently slipped to injure himself. He was given necessary first aid at the nearest hospital and was discharged towards the end of the day.

Although it was a minor injury, the unit members of ‘Shakthi’ including director Meher Ramesh, producer Aswini Dutt, were all concerned about NTR’s condition as he has been accident prone for sometime now. They didn’t want anything serious happening to the hero.

According to few other sources, NTR is back from his injury and shooting has started normally. Manali is a hill station that has been a tourist destination but a film maker’s paradise. The unit of ‘Shakthi’ would hope to return without any untoward incident!

Prakash Raj acquires ‘Prasthanam’ rights

Prakash Raj is shopping for movie rights! A while back he acquired the remake rights of ‘Happy Days’ in Tamil and now news is that he has acquired the Tamil remake rights of ‘Prasthanam’.

‘Prasthanam’ directed by Deva Katta was a hit and received a lot of accolades for its story line on politics. Sharwanand’s performance was well praised but the man who deserved the appreciation most was Sai Kumar for his versatile performance! Apparently Prakash Raj might do Sai Kumar’s role in the Tamil version as it has a lot of scope for acting.

Sources also add that Dil Raju is also associated with the acquisition of rights. Nothing about the Tamil version or other details of cast and crew have been revealed. However, Prakash Raj is busy making plans to promote his ‘Inidhu Inidhu’ (‘Happy Days’ in Telugu) in an innovative way. That of going on a motor cycle to all colleges throughout Tamil Nadu to promote!

‘Nagavalli’ shoot in Baroda

Seems to be the season of sequels in Tollywood. The sequel to Chandramukhi – ‘Nagavalli’ starring Venkatesh will shoot in Baroda.

Currently being shot in Hyderabad, it is learnt that the ‘Nagavalli’ unit will shoot in places like Mysore, Bengalooru and Baroda. Known to all, the movie boasts of five heroines namely Anuskha, Kamalini Mukherjee, Shraddha Das, Poonam Kaur and Richa Gangopadhyay.

Director P Vasu is chalking out plans to make sure the shoot is peaceful and no untoward incidents like sets being destroyed and other causalities happen. As the Kannada version of the movie was a blockbuster, he is hoping that the magic will work even in Telugu.

Jagapathi Babu ‘Gaayam 2’ Fast Completing

The sequel to Ram Gopal Varma’s action flick ‘Gaayam’, Jagapathi Babu starrer ‘Gaayam 2’ directed by RGV’s associate Praveen Sri, is fast completing.

‘Gaayam 2’ is produced by Kartha Creations’ Dr. Dharmakartha C. Tall beauty Vimala Raman gives company to Jagapathi Babu. Maestro Ilayaraja who composed for the first part will also compose for the second part.

Currently the movie is being shot in the Agriculture University in Hyderabad. The shooting of the movie is expected to complete end of July that is this week. Apparently the post production formalities are being done simultaneously. The makers of the movie plan to unveil the publicity posters through Ram Gopal Varma.

The movie is expected to release this September! Get ready for the action!

Nikhil’s turn now

Nikhil is the next hero who’s getting in to the endorsement bandwagon oops ‘brand’ wagon!

‘Happy Days’ Nikhil is now the brand ambassador of 9’x Mens wear. The young hero will now be seen endorsing 9’x Mens Wear products.

In an event that was held in a hotel at Hyderabad, Nikhil himself was the compère of the evening whilst announcing that he is the brand ambassador of the new brand. Posters of Nikhil in trendy clothes were shown. Later Nikhil walked the ramp with models showcasing the designs of the brand.

Telugu actors seem to be inclined towards signing endorsements these days. Nikhil’s ‘Happy Days’ costar Varun Sandesh signed a few deals recently. Besides the biggies, even the small heroes are getting their cake!

‘Maryada Ramanna’ Telangana Leg Postponed

Looks like the ‘Maryada Ramanna’ team is changing its touring plans. As of now, the team is touring areas surrounding Vijayawada. As per schedule they have to tour the areas in the Telangana region tomorrow 29th July but they have not received the required permission!

Apparently the counting of the recent Telangana elections will be held on Friday 30th. The regional authorities have not given the permission for the ‘Maryada Ramanna’ team to proceed. So the team is contemplating to tour the Telangana part in the 2nd week of August.

Amidst this, the ‘Maryada Ramanna’ team has been receiving overwhelming response in all the areas they have been touring. Most of the towns are welcoming the team with a lot of fanfare. As the team did not expect this amount of gathering, they are not able to proceed faster. Hence they had to skip Ongole. Rajamouli expressed his apologies for the same.

Sunil’s lady luck seems to have smiled on him! He would be humbled to see people welcoming him in this way! He also has a biggie coming, with Ram Gopal Varma!

‘Happy Days’ Ready in Tamil

To the uninformed: The remake rights of Shekhar Kammula’s ‘Happy Days’ were bought by versatile actor Prakash Raj. Almost the whole movie is complete except for some minor touch ups and it is expected to release in September 2010.

The title for the Tamil version is ‘Inidhu Inidhu’ that is produced by Prakash Raj’s Duet Movies’. Just like how it was in Telugu, new actors are introduced through this movie. Apparently all the actors were hand picked by Prakash Raj. Cinematographer Guhan is turning as a director with this movie.

Mickey J Meyer will score the music for the Tamil version as well. Names of characters like ‘Tyson’, ‘Appu’, ‘Shravs’, etc. have been retained and the original essence of the movie has been retained.

‘Happy Days’ was a blockbuster in Telugu, Prakash Raj would hope the same result in Tamil as well!

‘Kanchana’ Shooting in Chennai

‘Kanchana’, the movie being directed by choreographer-actor-director Larencce is currently shooting in Chennai.

‘Kanchana’ apparently a sequel to Larencce’s ‘Muni’, is a thriller-horror flick that has Anushka as the heroine. Anuskha off late has been doing meaty roles after her ‘Arundathi’. Though she saw lukewarm response in ‘Panchakshari’, she’s quite confident that ‘Kanchana’ will be a landmark in her career.

‘Kanchana’ is a bilingual movie that is simultaneously being shot in Telugu and Tamil. The shoot will continue in Chennai for sometime and a major part of the schedule will cover the talkie part. A lot of visual effects will be used in the movie, it is learnt.

Besides this movie, Larencce is also directing Prabhas in an action entertainer though nothing about the project has been leaked. Refresh this page soon for more updates!

More trouble for Asin

The Federation of Tamil Associations of North America (FeTNA), an umbrella body of more than 30 Tamil organisations across the United States, said on Monday that it would boycott films starring Asin because of her visit to Sri Lanka.

This decision comes a day after the South Indian Film Artistes Association (SIFAA) said on Sunday that a joint consultative committee would decide on the action to be taken against actors visiting Sri Lanka.

In a statement, FeTNA chief Palani Sundaram said, “The Federation of Tamil Sangams of North America will boycott films of Asin because of her visit to Sri Lanka despite a ban by the Tamil film industry.”

Meanwhile, the actress, who was in Mumbai on Monday, said she did not flout any diktat of the Nadigar Sangam as she stayed away from the International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) award ceremony in the island nation.

“I spoke to SIFAA president Sarath Kumar and I am ready to abide by the joint committee’s direction,” she reportedly said. The committee comprises the Film Employees Federation of India, SIFAA, Tamil Film Producers Council, South Indian Film Chamber of Commerce and directors association among others.

Surender Reddy movie with Ram Shelved

The much talked about movie of Surender Reddy with young hero Ram seems to be shelved.

Surender Reddy, after his super hit movie ‘Kick’ was approached by veteran producer Sravanthi Ravi Kishore to direct a movie with his nephew Ram as hero. Even the launch was informed but things seem to have taken a U-Turn and the project has come to a halt.

A few announcements about the movie like project being titled ‘Ram and Jenny’, high technical values being implemented, etc. were made but all seem to have been washed off. According to sources, difference of opinions had risen between the producer and director leading to the shelving of the project.

A few days ago as reported by IndiaGlitz, Ram will work with Karunakaran while Surender Reddy is getting ready with a script to worth with another hero.

Shelving of projects is not new to Telugu cinema or its directors. Puri Jagannath’s proposed projects have not seen light. Like his project with Balakrishna and also his ambitious project with Amitabh Bachchan in Hindi both being shelved.

Let us hope the directors come back with glory!

Sriram, Samiksha in Naga Chaitanya’s Movie

Handsome hero Sriram, famous for his role in Venkatesh’s ‘Aadavari Maatalaku…’ is playing Naga Chaitanya’s brother in a new movie that is being directed by Ajay Bhuyan.

Information received also says that Sriram’s wife in the movie will be Samiksha, who’s acted in ‘143’, etc. before. The last update from the new movie’s unit is that it was shooting in Thailand and surrounding places.

Ajay Bhuyan’s first movie ‘Housefull’ has not seen light yet but the young director has found his second project. Naga Chaitanya is running high on success as his ‘Ye Maaya Chesave’ was a hit. He would want to continue his success run with this new untitled movie.

Dr.D.Ramanaidu’s Guest Role in ‘Parama Veera Chakra’

Movie Moghul Dr.D.Ramanaidu will do a guest role in Balakrishna’s ‘Parama Veera Chakra’ directed by veteran director Dasari Narayana Rao.

You’re reading this news first on net, reported by IndiaGlitz. Insiders say that Ramanaidu might do an army general’s role in ‘Parama Veera Chakra’ produced by C.Kalyan for Teja Cinema.

Veteran producer Ramanaidu has done many a cameo role in the past. As a successful producer, his passion for acting was quite evident when ever he was on screen.

Tollywood Awards Fever in August

People associated with Telugu cinema are always busy but never as busy as come August would be. Besides the regular dose of the shooting of the movie, the technicians, the workers and even the audience will witness three events that will give away the awards!

Three events this August and they are…

Chronologically speaking, the first event is the Mother of all Non-Government Awardsm the Filmfare awards. Though the Filmfare awards are not exclusive only to Telugu cinema, it is broader in scope with the other three south Indian languages Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam also being part of the awards. Rajamouli’s Curb on Piracy

Super hit director Rajamouli applies his creative ideas in film making and that’s nothing new. But he seems to apply his ideas even in stopping the video piracy that is affecting his new movie ‘Maryada Ramanna’. How’s he going about it?

According to Rajamouli, the makers of ‘Maryada Ramanna’ have hired four teams to be vigilant and to have a look at sites that show the camera ripped version of the movie. The modus operandi of these teams is that, once they spot such websites, a legal notice will be sent to them.

If such a malicious site is spotted, legal notices will be sent to remove the links of ‘Maryada Ramanna’ most likely in 24 hours. If any of the websites don’t adhere to the instructions, they would be forced to come under the cyber crime act and the site will be shut down. So far 43 links showing the movie have been removed.

But Rajamouli is worried about the 24 hours timeline. It still is a long time for thousands of people to watch the 2 hour 9 minute movie, free of cost, online. It is hard work and a lot of strenuous effort that goes behind in making a movie. Any movie is best when watched in a theatre!

Ravi Teja’s ‘Mirpakaya’ Shooting in Hyderabad

Even as Ravi Teja’s ‘Don Seenu’ is getting release next week, he will be busy when his ‘Mirpakaya’ shooting starts in Hyderabad from tomorrow.

‘Mirpakaya’ team has been shooting a few talkie portions and the movie now progresses to the next schedule that will shot in and around Hyderabad till the 16th of August. The next schedule will be shot in Delhi that will begin soon after the Hyderabad schedule ends.

Ravi Teja has two heroines for company with ‘Leader’ Richa and ‘Vedam’ Deeksha in this fun entertainer.

The movie is directed by Harish Shankar and is produced by Ramesh Puppala for ‘Yellow Flowers’ banner being presented by RR Movie Makers’ Venkat. According to insiders, the movie will be a typical Ravi Teja entertainer. The movie’s music is composed by new sensation Thaman, who composed for Ravi Teja’s ‘Kick’ before.

Sreenu Vytla’s Project sans DSP

They are a super hit combo but that will have a temporary break in partnership! Sreenu Vytla and his loyal music composer Devi Sri Prasad will not work together in Sreenu’s new project that has Mahesh Babu. Thaman replaces DSP this time.

Have a look from the beginning of both their careers. Sreenu’s movies right fro ‘Anandam’ till ‘King’ have always had Devi Sri Prasad handling the music. But this time for a new project with Mahesh Babu in the lead, ‘Kick’ fame Thaman will compose the music. No apparent reasons have been given but with one source saying that Devi is running short of dates to fit Sreenu’s movie in to his diary.

There’s also a buzz in the filmy circles saying Thaman is a fast technician who finishes his work well within deadlines. Hence the makers of the new movie have finalized Thaman. According to sources, the new movie might have a title like ‘Dukudu’ and will have the pretty ‘Jessie’ Samantha playing Mahesh Babu’s heroine.

Thaman is composing music for NTR’s ‘Brindavanam’ and few other Tamil movies. One’s loss is another’s gain and Thaman will make sure his lucky stones are unturned in this Mahesh Babu project.

Next day 27th July, the team will start from Tirupati around 11 am and reach Nellore. They will tour neighbouring districts like Ongole and Gunur and end the day’s trip at Vijayawada. Thursday, 29th July, the fourth day and last day of the tour, the team will visit Rajahmundry, Khammam, Warrangal and return that night to Hyderabad. Seems like it is a hectic tour yet a tour that will pay gratitude to the Telugu audiences.

Only Telugu titles for my movies

Nagarjuna’s a man of words! Well not exactly a writer we mean… but what ever he tells, he lives up to it! And now he is a man of words literally! The handsome hero says his titles for all his forthcoming movies will be of only Telugu names.

Speaking on the occasion of launching the logo of ‘Gaganam’ produced by Dil Raju, Nag stated that all his future projects will have only Telugu titles and nothing else. Even for this movie before finalizing on to ‘Gaganam’, an English title ‘Wanted’ was in the contention.

Nag’s movies have been a mixed bag. They predominantly had Telugu titles but as newer directors came in, they named his movies with English words. Sample this, Nag’s movies had beautiful titles like ‘Geethanjali’, ‘Nuvvosthavani’, ‘Ninne Pelladutha’, ‘Ninne Premistha’, etc. but on the other side of the coin, Nag’s movies have had titles like ‘Criminal’, ‘Mass’, ‘Super’, ‘Boss’, ‘Don’, ‘King’, etc. May be he has realized the beauty of Telugu and would want to use such creative titles rather than one English word as a title!

Very Good Nag! Your decision on titles is highly appreciated!

All except Badrinath on Vel Records

MM Keeravani has clearly stated that, from hereon his future projects except for VV Vinayak’s ‘Badrinath’ will be available to the market through Vel Records.

Vel Records, an audio company floated by his wife Sri Valli, will support the music director in all his future projects. He also clearly points out that, only ‘Badrinath’ will not be marketed by Vel Records but after that, all his projects in the future will be available only through Vel Records.

Vel Records has marketed most of Keeravani’s movies in the recent times including ‘Yamadonga’, ‘Gamyam’, ‘Vedam’ and even the latest ‘Maryada Ramanna’.

Show ‘Raktha Charithra’ first to me

Paritala Sunitha, wife of assassinated MLA Paritala Ravi has asked the makers of ‘Raktha Charitra’ to show the movie to her first.

Sunitha wants to know if her husband is being shown in the wrong light or in any negative manner. She says that she wants to know how genuine the movie has shaped up as director Ramgopal Varma has openly admitted that the movie is a direct adaptation of Paritala Ravi and Suri’s feud on screen. She doesn’t want any misleading facts in the movie and she will herself clarify any issues when she sees the movie first.

Sunitha also warned that if she is not shown the movie, she will move the makers of ‘Raktha Charithra’ to the court.

When Ramgopal Varma thought of making the political rivalry on screen, he had taken the assistance of Sunitha in learning facts about the rivalry. Sunitha in fact guided RGV during the pre-production stages.

One wonders if RGV’s movies will ever release without facing controversies?

‘Maryada Ramanna’ a word from Vara Mullapudi

‘Maryada Ramanna’(MR) is of course the brain child of Kanchi, the writer of the movie but it started from a word that was told by talented director Vara Mullapudi.

In a story discussion, apparently Vara Mullapudi, director of ‘Visakha Express’, had narrated a story that lead to the development of ‘Maryada Ramanna’. Interestingly, as put in IndiaGlitz review on ‘Maryada Ramanna’, MR is inspired by an English movie titled ‘Our Hospitality’.

So Vara Mullapudi’s word lead to the development of the story and to rightly acknowledge the director, the makers of ‘Maryada Ramanna’, credited him saying – “Moola Kathalu, Maaru Moola Kathalu Maaku Cheppe Mullapudi Vara gaaru ki Kruthagyanathalu’ in the beginning of the movie.

Drawing inspirations from inspirations…we say!
